As a new pet owner I was unsure where to leave Rio when I had to go out of town for work in April 2011. I had driven past the Central Ave location many times and after checking out the website, called and made a reservation. After that first visit, Rio has been back many times and is so excited to be there she doesn't even care that I'm leaving! This is a wonderful place with a wonderful staff and even though I hate to leave her, I know Rio is in excellent care during her stays.

The most loving wonderful place in the world! I don't have a single worry in the world when I leave my Labrador Oreo with you guys, because I know that he's loved and well-taken care of. The only other place in the world where he gets all this attention and love, is at home with me. What a phenomenal place! Laci (our dog) loves going "to school". She hates car rides, but as soon as we turn down Fairbanks she perks up and is ready to go. I just love that when I take her in she bolts right for the door - 'gotta go play with friends!' She comes home tired every time and ALL dog owners know a tired dog is a good dog!The people here are obvious animal lovers as they get their *kisses* when we leave.
I just can't say enough good about Karnik. Wonderful people, always clean, great hours!

We have been taking our yellow lab Buckeye for boarding and lots of daycare at the Central Ave location since he was 6 months old. He just turned 2. Bear our chocolate lab joined us back in March 2011. They are the same age and perfect pals! Bear was new to socialization and he loves it! When I turn onto the street they realize where they are going and both go crazy in the car with excitement! I have to take them in one at a time because they charge right to the door! The staff is friendly and caring and they know the dogs well and each of their little quirks and things to watch for. We are comfortable knowing there are safe and playing and not home alone. They have made lots of doggie friends there! The best part iis when they come home they are so tired for the rest of the night and even most of the next day!Date of Posting: 21 November 2011

I have boarded two of my babies & they have gone to Doggy Daycare. I love the way they can't wait to get there practically running in the door. They are certainly spoiled while at Karnik. I have been a customer of Karnik for many years. The facility is extremely clean and well kept. The staff is personable and great to work with. I have small dogs. The staff has taken the time to get to know my dogs and treat them well. The kennels are well laid out. The dogs have large runs. There is an option of playtime for my dogs as well. My dog attends Karnik five days a week and I am very pleased with the loving atmosphere, clean environment, and conscientious nature of all the employees. My dog has a blast playing with all of his buddies during the day and is wonderfully tired at night so I don't have to worry about entertaining him! I highly recommend Karnik for doggie daycare! I have been taking my brittany spaniel there for several years and never had a problem. Medications (although occasional) have never been a issue either. I do sign her up for 1/2-day 'doggy day care' so she can socialize with the other dogs each morning.The staff has always been friendly and seem to be genuine animal lovers.
I would recommend Karnik to other dog owners.

Wonderful Experience I'm very picky about where I board my dog and was nervous I wouldn't find a place as good as the kennel in California, but was pleasantly surprised when I found Karnik Pet Lodge. I board my dog at least twice a month with them and I am extremely happy with the care Trixie has received. The owner is a sweetheart and often tears up when speaking about the pets under her care. She is a true animal lover. I feel very comfortable leaving Trixie as I know she is with her second family and I don't worry about her. On her most recent stay I didn't bring enough food, they went out and purchased some for her. They have ALWAYS administered her medicine correctly, when needed. Whenever I bring my dog she drags me to the front door as she can't wait to get inside. I give them a 5 star rating (the tops) and highly recommend them. Date of Posting: 20 July 2010

Wonderful! I could not be happier with the doggy daycare service at Karnik! I have a small terrier who lives alone with me in a studio apartment. He is very well trained and does very well home alone while I'm at work but I wanted him to have some "friends" and not interact solely with me. I take him to Karnik twice a week for doggy daycare and am so pleased! The people that work there (especially the two guys that are in with the dogs all day) truly care about animals and have made me feel completely comfortable leaving my little guy with them. He used to hate riding in the car but now he constantly tries to jump in because he knows it means he is going to daycare. I would recommend Karnik doggy daycare to anyone!
